Jelly's Daydream Week One
Originally the game was intended to be a multiplayer king of the hill based game.
What happened?
We attempted to implement Unity's Lobby system with no prior experience with this tool for our game jam. A little over halfway to the deadline we were forced to change direction while keeping the working systems we already had in place. As a team we decided to go with a time trial jelly corral objective.
This objective was decided in respect to the remaining time we had left before the game jam deadline. We needed to be able to have a playable game with a clear objective and win condition by the deadline.
The game you are able to play at this time has groundwork for a multiplayer game but can only be played solo. The solo play objective is to pick up and throw each color of jelly into matching color corrals before the time runs out. Although this gameplay is much less rewarding for the player and much less exciting, it was implemented for the sake of completion by the deadline.
